Mixed media sculpture: Side One - archival pigment print on Sarvisberry blend paper*, embedded with banana stalk and hydrilla fiber; Side Two - Inspiration pieces: lichen, mushrooms, moss, sage, sea shell fossils, freshwater snail, tomatillo skeleton and outer skin, snake skin, turkey fungus, Scottish thistle, lily pads, Baptisia pod and Tibetan prayer flag embedded with naturally colored pulp and hydrilla fibers; archival sealed wooden form; sealed in wax. Name taken from Greek mythology, “Gaia” or “Mother Earth”
